I would like to contribute two self-composed poems for your forthcoming journal issue.

The first poem is on life- expressing its various hues and the ups and downs, eventually leading to its final departure.

The second poem reflects the dilemmas of a modern man, who speaks boastfully of modernization and yet misses the simple pieties of life; he longs for them as stress takes its toll and he gives out a cry of agonized pain and prays to Lord to relieve him of his distress. The irony is that he still says “Yes, I am a modern man”.
