Quality of Work Life is all about the conductive and congenial environment created at a work place, one of the main reasons for better performance and productivity. The aim of this study was to compare the quality of work life (QWL) among faculty members. The Quality of Work Life of an organization can be assessed by getting the opinions of its employees on statements describing QWL aspects. The research instrument is a structured questionnaire in which there are definite concrete predetermined questions through which researcher collect data in Lickert five point scale. The collected data was subjected to both conventional and functional analysis. The conventional approach includes weighted average and percentage methods. In addition graphical approach was followed for explaining some economic relationships. After tabulation and calculation, the study finds that there was some satisfaction of faculty regarding their pay particulars with comparison to their qualification & cost of living and the facilities provided by the institution. Where as the faculties were moderately satisfied with their interpersonal relation, non participation in Management decisions, Promotional policies and Career counseling policies. As faculty members are very important to the universities, it has high value to pay more attention to their QWL and their work conditions. Also it is recommended to use QWL improving programs in order to get its benefits. Though they are known by different nomenclature, their functions are relatively same but nevertheless the scope of their work differed depending on their respective departments and number of peers sharing the responsibility.
