Abstract

                        The Indo-U.S. relationship has taken various significant steps to analysis of ‘terrorism policy’ in 21st century. These two countries have much closer in various spheres, like science and technology, trade and commerce, nuclear deal, education and terrorism policies, etc. They have emphasized on preservation of liberty, equality and justice of individual. Terrorism passes a real threat to humanity. It is not only direct threat to social and economic development, democracy and human rights, but also threat to international peace and security. Many factors are responsible for growth and development of ‘Terrorism’, namely; humanitarian intervention, social conflict, poverty, economic growth and modernization, etc. Three major terrorist attacks are consisted in this paper, i.e., terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001, Pakistani based Kashmir terrorists attack on Indian Parliament, December 13, 2001, and Mumbai terrorist attack on 26 November, 2008. So far as, some major points or policies were discussed between Indo-U.S. leaders on terrorism. In the memorial address of Obama, to the victims of 26/11 attacks, he stressed that India and U.S had worked closer than ever, sharing intelligence preventing more attacks and demanding that perpetrators be brought to justice. Visit of U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton to India was strengthen on counter terrorism co-operation. The United States and India signed on July 19, 2011 memorandum of understanding. Three days visit of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to U.S.A, they agreed to take eliminates the safe havens of terrorists. The foreign policy of Modi and Obama is a great land mark in 21st century. The reputed terrorist Osama-Bin Laden had taken major challenging role for many terrorist attacks in world phenomena. And also, commander of Lashkare-e-Toiba syed Abdul Karim Alias ‘Tunda’ has played a vital role in terrorist attack. In 26/11 attack, many terrorists are connected.
