Abstract:

Elizabeth Jennings is the British woman poetess of the Movement Poetry of the 1950s.She is the only woman poet among the other Movement poets. Jennings has written on several themes like art, love, death, sorrow, religion, loneliness etc. This paper looks into the theme of love in some of her poems from her different Anthologies. Her treatment of love is different in each poem. She ponders into it from different angles. This paper is an attempt to look into and analyze her love poems from her various collections.
