Abstract

Myth, origins are uncertain because they are anonymous generated and perpetuated by cultures through an oral tradition.  History of events, people and culture, values and beliefs.  Myths are the representation of our culture and its background.  Even it continues in the present century, through the fine and best work of PerumalMurugan’s novel One Part Woman. Perumal’s novel drew little attention when it was initially published in 2010.  This novel became very popular after its English translation this book got the Crossword Award and won the prestigious ILF SamanvayBhashaSamman in 2015.
