Abstract

Detective story is a genre that will never lose its charm due to the element of curiosity that it offers to its readers. The character of Sherlock Holmes is one such evergreen character from this genre. Explored in various eves through various adaptations, the character opened up various readings at various times. This paper tries to study the most recent portrayal of the character, from a new historic perspective.
