Abstract
Dalit literature has begun to bring about a change; to enable non- Dalits to deconstruct a traditional mindset which made them perceive Dalits as lower than themselves; and instead to see Dalilts as equals rather than pitiful victims; to awaken the Dalit who lies asleep within conscience of all people of all castes. Here Dalit feminism plays a major role to decipher the real reason behind the long silence and it poignantly records the miseries, humiliation, and brutalities experienced by the oppressed. Dalit feminism registers a strong protest against the hierarchy of castes, race, tribe and gender and shows the value of human liberty. The spirit of rebellion resonates in this way
