Waiting for Godot: Symbols at Play
Abstract
This paper aims to understand some of the major symbols and images employed in the play Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett as how these symbols are used and what effects they created in the course of the play are very integral to the play’s understanding. The authors of this paper have tried to analyse the ‘shape’, the idea and, moreover, the application of these symbols in proper contexts by finding their deep-rooted and universal meaning in life and literature.
