A Postmodern Reading of the Novel A clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
Abstract
Postmodernism is manifested in a variety of disciplines such as Social Sciences, Art, Architecture, Literature, Fashion and Media. It is an outbreak of Modernism. Postmodernism has a fundamental influence in 20th century. The postmodern readings tend to employ intertextuality: the relationship between one text with the other, Maximalism, Pastiche, Irony, Historiography and so on.
George R. R. Martin is an American novelist and he is famous for his epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire series. A Clash of Kings is one of the novels from his epic fantasy series. His novel A Clash of Kings which was published in 2011 is a story that focuses mainly on the chaos of the war, political intrigues and history.
