Mari is the novel where it shows the feminist view, historical background and the culture of the Angami Naga people. Mari a young girl who lived in a place Kohima in Nagaland. It is a tale of World War II years and how the girl Mari suffered throughout the war years during (1939-1945). In this story the protagonist shows her own experience of war and about its horrors. She travels like a matured woman whose life revolves around the war. She had lost her life and her loved ones in the war. Though she had her own experience in her life journey she doesn't be within for long time everything left her at a men while. After getting out from all the fate of life journey she acts as the young and single parenting and lead her life. Her only experience constructs her own identity in the story. The different phase of her life is indeed to create herself a true identity and existence of woman to become herself. Though she suffers a lot at last she shows her sacrifice in the whole novel from her young age to her maturity.
