Jaishree Misra is an Indian English writer. She was born in New Delhi, India. She has a Post graduate degree in English and two Post graduate diplomas from the University of London. She worked in the Child Care department of Social Services and recently as a film classifier in BBC. When the novels of Jaishree Misra are read, the readers are automatically impressed towards the characters and the decision taken by them. She makes the readers to accept the idea through the characters. This paper deals mainly with the character Neha Chaturvedi, who has given her daughter for adoption 18 years back before marriage. At present she lives a luxurious life with Sharat. Once she receives a letter that her daughter wants to see their paternal mother. It is impossible in the present scenario of Neha Chaturvedi and how she tackle the situation. The psychological trauma that goes on in her mind is how to receive her daughter and reveal the secret to her husband, as her husband is a politician. All these traumas make her live in chaos. The author reveals the twist at the end of the novel. The paper highlights the psychological sufferings of Neha Chaturvedi how it turns in the end.
