Depiction of War in All the Light We Cannot See
Keywords:Radio, World War II, Nazi, Bombing, Destiny.
‘All The Light We Cannot See’ is admirably an aspiring and beautiful novel about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths pile up in occupied France as both try to survive the desolation of World War II. The novel most constantly cuts back and forth between two main characters: Werner Pfennig, a German boy with an predilection for radio engineering, and Marie- Laure LeBlanc, a young, blind French girl who excels at reading and studying science. The story alternates between time periods, starting in medias rest, during the bombing of Saint- Malo, France in August 1944, and then returning back to tell the history of the two protagonists starting in 1934.
