Abstract

Dalit poetry entails the issues recounted to gender, caste discrimination and self representation. Most of the women poets are marginalized and they are subjugated by the patriarchy. But very few women poets voiced out for the Dalit struggles, and feminism. Their poems are the painful picture of lowercaste people in India as a caste-stained democratic country. This paper addresses and analyses the essential components of Dalit poetry and projects the function of realism in the poems of HiraBansode.
