Abstract

Literature is a process that directly or indirectly scrutinizes the development of the universe. Ecocriticism is an exposure of ecological values. Ecological values are balanced by the relationship between man, society and the environment. Ecocriticism paved the way for analyzing a work of art with an interdisciplinary point of view, where one can analyze texts that illustrate environmental concerns and examine the subjects of nature. Ecocritical reading tries to understand and espouse care and concern for the environment, thus advocating a more thoughtful and ecologically sensitive relationship of man and nature.
