Abstract

Teaching English language witnessed remarkable changes in the past, particularly during the last decade. The once very popular trends of ELT have been vanished today and replaced with other trends. There are multiple reasons for the contribution of the emergence of new trends in ELT. The study found that the following trends are the very popular. A trend is the common movement or learning towards change. Recent tendencies, movements and systems depict the critical role of educational sector. This article is explored to depict the latest and accepted tendencies in ELT that have been incorporated by the teachers and learners in recent years in place of old ones. Moreover, this is also an endeavour to encourage the ELT trainers to modernize their classroom arrangements.
