Abstract

The current study is intended to find out the effect of PAPSA model onimproving IraqiEFL university students’ writing performance and attitude. To achieve the aims of the study, an experiment is conducted on a sample of 103 male and female students in the Department of English/College of Education for Human Sciences of the University of Wasit, Iraq during the academic year 2018/2019. In order to collect the required data, a writing performance posttest isconstructed and an attitude toward writing scale is adopted and both areconducted on the sample after the experiment to check if there are any statistical differences in the sample subjects' writingperformance and attitude. The results achieved show that PAPSA model plays a significant role in helping students promote their writing performance and develop a positive attitude toward writing.
