nature.

The world at present is confronting eco-disasters and degradation of nature. Significant advancement in science alone can't make the world a good spot to live in. If the attitude of the general population doesn’t turn towards nature, no change can be brought. Eco-analysis discovers how nature is represented in writings. Orhan Pamuk, the Turkish writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2006 deals mostly with the East-West confrontations and the cultural break-down in Turkey but there are also some portrayals of ecological degradation in his works. Orhan Pamuk in his books reprimands the spoilers of nature and remains a guard of nature. His novels carry the message of urbanization and consequential breakdown of nature in Turkey. He accuses the lifestyle of the people that stand responsible for the total ignorance of nature by them. This article investigates the novel The Black Book written by the Turkish author Orhan Pamuk in the light of Eco-criticism.
