Abstract

The changing relationships of the husband and wife in the society are portrayed by many writers today. Anita Nair delineates the changing relationships of the husband and wife in the society. Her concept of a free woman goes beyond the limits of economic or social freedom, but at the same time, it relates to her mental and emotional feelings. Modernity is clearly evident in the emergence of feminist writers. This paper tries to bring out the problems faced by women in such situations. Anita Nair penetrates deeply into the virtue of their feminine sensibility and psychological insight and brings to light their issues, which are the outcome of Indian women’s psychological and emotional imbalances in a male dominated society.
