Abstract

Globalization is also a site of controversy. Scholars are divers in their opinion on the nature of globalization for e.g. it is called as inevitable and accomplished fact and as a human good, contrarily for others it is neo-colonialist and socially diverse, some called it ubiquitous and for other it is uneven and partial phenomenon. But in its simplest form it denotes the process whereby actions, circumstances and occurrences in one part of the world may have a major impact on the people and institutions of a quite different from the globe. However, globalization connotes "... more than the diffusion of Western institutions across the world in which other cultures are crushed... [it is] a process of uneven development that fragments as it coordinates".
