THE IDEA OF FREEDOM IN NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR OF GEORGE ORWELL
Abstract
AbstractGeorge Orwell’s main objective is to reveal the real condition of society through the idea of freedom .This research paper examines how dystopian novels depict various form of discipline exercised by a government over the body and mind of its subjects and also offer freedom from that control through the act of writing. Nineteen Eighty Four deals with the problem of freedom in society. He wrote six novels and in all of them his main theme was the problem of society at different levels. According to Subhash Chandra Orwell decided to write novels because this genre enabled him to express his ideas about the current issues freely. Orwell himself says in Why I Write
