Abstract

Our Mutual Friend is published in 1865.Like all Dickens’s work this novel also has the rich and complex pattern of themes &symbols. It is a satire on wealth and its corrupting power in the society. The present study brings out the various dimensions of the element of water in the point of nature, the effect of industrialisation, and other religious views with the help of rich symbols and imageries.
