Overview of the Novel

Abstract

This study was undertaken to make a thematic analysis of Festus Iyayi’s Heroes. The research has objective of explicating the themes, settings, plot, language, characterization, and the background of Nigerian’s Civil war (1967-1970) to make the reader understand the themes very easily and likewise appreciate them. Chapter one, known as the Introduction contains the preambles and aims and objective of the study and the brief biography of the author. Chapter Two is the literature review, and the analysis of the themes, setting, plot language, characterization. Chapter Three is the literary perspective of the Nigerian after the civil War. Chapter Four is the Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation.
