Abstract

The present paper “Big man the laltain, small man the mombatti - A study of The White Tiger and The God of Small Things” deals with how the power politics play very prominent part in both the selected novels. Thanks to game of gap between poor and elite, powerful and weak, mighty and marginalized the underdogs are suppressed in the society to exclude themselves from accessing equal joys in social life. The grounds after their inhuman plight are social attributes such as race, caste, gender, economy or religion to which I have focused on thoroughly.
