Earthlings from the genesis of the universe are curious beings. Their cerebrum accrues their surroundings and day-to-day occurrences with all its pros and cons. Their wisdom thus processes all the information catered to them. This phenomenon aids them to evolve form an undeveloped to a developed species. They urbanize in the best and worst manner. Some progress on the right path some go awry. When they opt to acquire their desire at any cost, they do not hesitate to commit a crime. Often criminals tend to hide their criminal acts by playing all sorts of games. Sometimes they tend to play with complex mechanism i.e. human psyche. They embrace what they understand but fear what is unknown. This escalates fear and these mastermind criminals exploit this phenomenon. They often link up their crime or certain circumstances build up that veil a crime in a supernatural activity. Doyle, Green and Chesterton bring to light such instances where their sleuths unravel the so-called unknowns. These authors raise social issues yet their works are termed non-literarians. This paper analyzes three such works and axes out any sorts of superstitious junk revealing the true nature of a crime.
