Abstract

Professional communication is a new-fangled discipline paying attention to the processing of information counting its creation, dissemination, consumption and retardation. The professionals with proficient communication backgrounds fetch to the organization classy perspectives and skills needed for a business. As professional communicators use tactics, hypothesis, and technologies to communicate proficiently in the business world, the employers give considerable value to graduates possessing an assorted set of skills in diverse work environment. Precise subject knowledge, along with logical and problem solving skills, enhanced decision making ability, administration skills, attitude for research, and confidence and capability to work in international milieu are crucial to the professionals, particularly to the engineers. However, at the underneath of these lies an effective communication skill in English. This creates a demand for skilled communicators as well as the supply of trained professionals from engineering colleges. In the modern society, the advancement of technologies often outpaces the number of connoisseur practitioners of the art of communication skill in English.
