Vocabulary is the backbone to learn any language. For instance, one can?t speak Japanese language without knowing the meanings of Japanese words. Vocabulary means knowing meaning of a word and knowing how to use them effectively in different contexts. English language vocabulary acquisition is a field of investigation where research has been done on it for the last few years. English language vocabulary acquisition is an essential element for second language teachers, learners, language users and students who are preparing for competitive exams like TOEFL, GRE, IELTS, Bank, Railways and other competitive exams. But it is the question what is the right way and which method is the best way to get command over vocabulary. This article answers this question and aims at present various methods and approaches to master over English vocabulary acquisition.
